I’m Jane and I’m a PR & Communications freelancer, working across sport, culture, art, inclusivity and not-for-profits.
Freelancing since 2015, current and recent clients include The Football Association of Wales Trust, Sport Wales, major events company MLS Contracts, British Film Institute, Boccia UK, Film Hub Wales, World Deaf Golf Championships 2020, Film Hub Midlands and Commonwealth Games Wales.
Services include devising public relations and communication strategies and campaigns, creating content, generating media coverage and putting some punch into your social media.
I work across a range of projects – large and small. In 2019, I was responsible for the Wales communications activity for the Westfield Health British Transplant Games, which took place in Newport, as well as the UK wide social media activity. It was the second time I had teamed up with MLS Contracts, having worked with them in my role as Communications Manager for the World Boccia Championships in 2018.
For three years running, I led the BFI’s Britain on Film campaign within Wales, generating media coverage right across Wales’ national platforms, local and regional outlets and blogs. I have since worked on various projects for Film Hub Wales including Anim18, the UK wide celebration of animation, and its inclusive cinema campaign. I have worked on autism and dementia friendly projects – the highlight of which was a feature in The Guardian.
Before launching my freelance career, I built up 15 years’ experience handling public relations and communications for Sport Wales, Team Wales, Ryder Cup Wales Ltd and Cardiff Council.
In fact, my career’s taken me to two Commonwealth Games, one Ryder Cup and lots of soggy sports grounds along the way.
