I’m Jane and I’m a PR & Communications freelancer, based in the very lovely Shrewsbury, working across culture and sport.
I’m well versed in devising compelling campaigns and advising senior management teams, yet I’m also a hands on operator – creating content, working with the media to help you hit the headlines, helping you to prepare for interviews and putting some punch into your social media.
Current and recent clients include Boccia UK, The Football Association of Wales Trust, Film Hub Wales, British Film Institute, Sport Wales and Commonwealth Games Wales.
Alongside other projects, I am currently managing the communications operation for the World Boccia Championships which will descend on Liverpool in August. For three years running, I led the BFI’s Britain on Film campaign within Wales, generating media coverage right across Wales’ national platforms, local and regional outlets and blogs. I have also worked on various projects for Film Hub Wales including the promotion of Dementia Friendly Film Screenings – the highlight of which was a feature in The Guardian – as well as Anim18, a celebration of British animation right across the UK.
Before launching my freelance career, I built up 15 years’ experience handling public relations and communications for Sport Wales, Team Wales, Ryder Cup Wales Ltd and Cardiff Council.
In fact, my career’s taken me to two Commonwealth Games, one Ryder Cup and lots of soggy sports grounds along the way.
Have a look around and please feel free to get in touch with questions.
